Master Kush Grand has remained a staple of Amsterdam coffeeshops since it first appeared on the city’s menus. The popular indica cross between Hindu Kush and Skunk was initially called High Rise and later renamed Master Kush Grand. It produces a subtle earthy citrus smell during maturation, but during most of the plant’s growth the aroma is almost imperceptible. Traditionally, Kush strains (Afghan Kush, Hindu Kush) are often cultivated to make hand-pressed charas as they have amazing resin production. The inherited ability to produce high resin levels was passed down to Master Kush Grand. It has high medicinal value.
